OOMCO (Oman Oil Marketing Company) has constructed a greenfield bunker terminal at the Port of Duqm. This full-fledged terminal is situated on 50,000 sqm, of which 40% consists of 30,000 m3 tankage, pipelines, pump sets, valves, electrical and mechanical equipment, together with civil structural works and roadways with all other required ancillary facilities. The terminal is capable of storing and handling both heavy fuel oils as well as lighter distillate products. Marine lubricants will also be available from the terminal. OOMCO and OTTCO have signed an O&M agreement for both the terminal and marine operations.

OTTCO is assessing the possibility to develop additional capacity on the remaining available land (30,000sqm) of the terminal area. Besides capitalizing, by sub-leasing or providing a license to use, on this “empty” land, OOMCO will further benefit from increased flexibility and the optimized use of the total tank capacity of the terminal at a cost competitive service level.
